Test Accuracy

I did a HIV RNA Qualitative and DUO test 14 days after exposure (protected sex, fearing condom may have broken) and both came back negative. I will do another DUO at 21 and 28 days.

Is the RNA a good sign? I have seen some posts at the body.com from Dr. Wohl that say this is an excellent sign as well as Dr. Jose and Dr. Cummings note it's accuracy at 99% by 10 days.

It is now 18 days post exposure and I am having the following symptoms:

1. Pains in my groin, arm pits, chest and neck. They seem to come and go. Stress related?
2.  Calves are very sore.
3.  A few red dots on my chest. They have little white heads.
4. Stomach is making a lot of noises and my stool is usually green.
5.  Have been feeling tired and sleeping a lot.

The DUO test was negative at 30 days. Is this conclusive?

"Is the RNA a good sign?" Yes, nearly 100% conclusive.

"I will do another DUO at 21 and 28 days." You can count on negative results.

The listed symptoms are irrelevant. If they were due to HIV, your RNA test would have been positive for sure.

There is no point in speculating further when you're going to be getting a final conclusive answer is at hand. Let's not have any more discussion until and unless you report the additional test results. Until then, there is absolutely nothing you can add that would change what you have already been told.

And definitely do not start yet another new thread for any reason. It's a pointless distraction to have multiple thread from the same person about the same exposure etc.
