To close a chapter

Hello everyone,
I had posted here before and I need to share a few things.

One of my family members is going to have a Bypass surgery tomorrow and they wanted O+ve blood, 4 units. My girlfriend and I went to donate (both of us are O+ve). They gave us a form to fill, and she filled it up comfortably and donated blood.I have a couple of swollen glands (that my doc said are from scalp infection, but I'm worried) so I ticked Yes to the question, "Have you had swollen glands for more than 3 months?". I didn't have any of the other symptoms or conditions described on those two sheets. Not one of them. But the doc said I shouldn't donate blood.
My girlfriend donated and today I called the people up and asked whether the operation will happen properly and whether they need more blood and whether everything's alright...and they said, yes, and they said they're using her blood (The hospital tests it for Antibodies to HIV-1, HIV-2, HIV p24 Antigens).

She's now saying that atleast now I should stop worrying about getting it from her and stuff....but now she doesn't want to be at risk in future for getting it from me, so she's asking me to go for a test. She says she believes 100% I don't have it and she only wants to close the chapter on a nice note since we've been talking about this for over 6 months now.

My concerns are -

1) Can I get it from traveling in a bus? Suppose I get a cut on a bus and previously a person with HIV has gotten a cut there....what are the chances?

2) Whenever I go to my barber, I insist on him using a new blade and he always does. To my knowledge, I've never gotten any nick or cut or anything from my barber. What are the odds?

3) Apart from swollen glands in the neck, I have nothing else. No glands in groin or armpits or anything. I've not had fever for more than an year and a half now....no rashes, no thrush, no sore throat, no cold also....Is it still possible for a person to be HIV positive? I mean, I've always watched out for the 2-4 week period after contact and nothing has happened (she's a virgin and we don't have intercourse...only fellatio and cunningulus).

4) I've never been unfaithful to her, ever. Not even hugged another girl.

What are the odds that my swollen glands are due to HIV? Should I go get the test?

Thanks, hopeless. Just for her, I'll still go for the test.

Ah...that makes sense, thanks Jimmy.

Keeper...

an American idiom...

It is a phrase we say when fishing. If the fish is a good fish, we call it a "keeper."  No insult intended, the idiom spreads across all areas, but I think it was probably derived by fishing.

Take care.

Thanks. She also said she'll come with me when I go for the testing. I'm worried. I think I will go for the test.

Keeper? Meaning?

Thanks for the reply Chris, but apparently in India, the odds change....because a lot of people are HIV+. My state, especially has the second highest number of infected individuals, around 0.69% (state population is around 54 million, many individuals remain untested). That's why I am worried

Simply put, you have 3 things:

1) you are negative for HIV
2) you have an obsession with HIV
3) You have a wonderful girl friend
