Too early? Is it possible?

I tested 5 weeks in with a oraquick swab. It was negative. I tested my partner and so was his. We had two high risk events......15 min anal sex with no ejaculation on his side and a condom got stuck inside me (woman) and his semen spilled on me. I have HSV. With both of us testing neg is it still possible to test pos when I test again?  I have had what I think are symptoms but I wonder if the high level of stress over this is causing it. Does stress mimic the symptoms?

Thanks Gias! I am always the one to play it safe so this is upsetting. I make him wear condoms but mistakes happen.

If ur partner has hiv and if u are exposed...don't pay attention to ur sumptoms..only to ur tests...take ur 8 week test..it will.be high reliable as doctors say...and then get ur 12 week conclusive test...it will be high unlikely that ur 8 week test is going to change at 12 weeks...but for a conclusive result u have to test at 12 weeks...good luck and stay safe...

If ur partner's test was conclusive I would that u can't be positive...if neither of u is positive then hsv won't change things...

It's your choice...u could have protected sex with him....or u could cut him of...it's up to you...:)

8 weeks is even better than your boyfriend's 5 week test...since it' free u can take it...it will be a very strong indicator of your status but after that u will need another one at 12 weeks for completely conclusive results..

a 5 week negative test result for your partner is encouraging...but not conclusive.

3 months post exposure will give a conclusive result.

Both of u should be tested after 3 months from your last unprotected penetrative sex with other people...if u both are negative after that and u are sure u have a monogamous relationship u won't be infected!
