Unsure of my risk of exposure to HIV through oral sex

Hi, I am gay and I had unprotected oral sex yesterday. However, when i was giving a blowjob, the guy was a little too rough at a point in time and this caused my teeth to scratch the inner part of my upper lips. I continued with the session and when I went home, I checked the inside of my lip and discovered that there was a small superficial scratch. There was no blood, just a smal scratch. Today, when i used my finger to press my lips against my gum, there was just a slight pain.

May I know what is the risk of me contracting HIV, given such a situation, and that the guy did not ejaculate int my mouth?

Also, can I please find out generally, what are the risks of contracting HIV through unprotected oral sex?

Thanks so much for your assistance!

Inexperienced and Panicky.

Go to the doctor’s forum and you will understand better that oral is very low risk or even no risk as some would say. Unless you had a major oral surgery right prior to the act then you are fine.  The mouth is a very hostile environment for the virus.

Hey! Thanks for the reassurance! However, although the chances for unprotected oral sex are1/10000, I'm more worried because of the fact that i had a sort-of 'sore' in my mouth (more specifically, the upper lip) because my teeth scratched against the inside of my lips. Is this considered very low risk, still?

Thanks!
