Very Anxious and concerned

About 3-4 weeks ago I had in Asia unprotected oral sex (although I cannot be totally sure that she did not put a condom on me) and in another instance protected vaginal sex- the condom did not fall off and did not break.

I have been really anxious about both events and have taken to checking my temperature on a regular basis and (trying to check) my neck glands and my body for a rash. I have also developed headaches, a sore throat,  passing nausea and general lethagy. I have become quite concerned that I am have inadvertently picked up HIV through either of these experiences and am finding the countdown to the 6 week mark extremely stressful. Any tips as to how I can manage my stress levels - as any indication of a sore throat sends me into tears and is there any test I can take at teh 3 week mark which might not be determinative may assist in managing anxiety levels.

Any assistance greatly apprecaited as I feel close to a complete mental breakdown.

Thanks

Thank you for your comments- for my own piece of mind intend to be tested- is 6 weeks the earliest period for a test or is it possible to have a test at an earlier time which may provide indicative value?

Again thank you for your assistance

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex.  The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way.  Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk".  There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex.  Please educate yourself about the real risks.  If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. "   DR HANSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who belive that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..."   DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
