Very concerned

Please any info would be greatly appreciated. I almost definitely caught genital herpes from a sexual encounter. I wore a condom which I know doesn't protect fully against herpes but my question is about HIV and it's connection to herpes. If she happens to have both HIV and herpes (she claims to have neither one) does it mean HIV entered my body when I was infected by the herpes? I've read confusing information on the subject. Also I don't know if anyone would know anything about autoimmune diseases and HIV but would an autoimmune disease like lupus slow or cause your body to show limited signs of HIV ARS? I've had weird rashes develop along with headache and fatigue. I'm 4 weeks post possible exposure and I'll be getting tested in one week. Is 5 weeks long enough? Any advice on which test I need at this short time frame? Thank you to anyone who takes time to read and respond.

* Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusively negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to action by MedHelp. Conclusively negative results or a no-risk situation will be based upon the criteria established by MedHelp’s doctors. Action will be taken as follows:
    * After excessive posting, a warning will be issued by MedHelp
    * Continuing to post regarding the negative result / no risk situation will result in a 3 day suspension
    * Continuing to post upon your return will result in a permanent ban.

This is directly off their page on aidsmap

People with HIV and herpes are more able to pass on HIV as having herpes increases HIV viral load; in addition, HIV is present in herpes blisters.

It doesn't say that at all. You never had an HIV exposure.

On the website called aids map. It states that not only is someone with HIV and herpes more likely to pass HIV on but that HIV is contained in the herpes sore itself

What website stated that? The reason you don't see it is because you don't contract HIV through herpes.

Thank you for your response. So the websites stating that herpes sores contain high levels of HIV infection are inaccurate? I've read that protected sex is extremely low to no risk for contracting HIV but I also read that people with HIV and herpes can pass both on much easier. It's so confusing and there's no info really on contracting HIV through contracting herpes. Thanks again

There is no connection between herpes and HIV. You never had an HIV exposure.
