Bro the cdc is the goverment(USA) in particular in making recommendations to all Labs. What they say actually becomes the law regarding testing. Take care!
CDC Recommendations for HIV Testing in Laboratories is the doc title.
and it is for lab purposes.
ALL,
Thanks for your posting but....
the doc you are posting are refer to LAB RECCOMENDATIONS.
they are just saying which are the step to follow if the test is negative or positive. They are not saying which is the window period at which you can considered a test definitive if you consider a IV generation test.
They are saying that if you make a test with a IV generation you do not have to repeat the test (but in for laboratory purposes)...it is not refer to window period...
A doc should take part to this discussion to agree or desagree.

This is the CDC.. The government!!! Every doctors go by this guideline because it's the law!
I just quoted the cdc. If you cannot trust the cdc guidelines. Its up to you what you want to believe. And yes the cdc might be conservative but they are very scientific.
it is scientifically tested or it is just statistic?
If you test negative after the 4th gen test no testing is needed.

Here is the cdc lab guide. Look at the window period variations 4th gen test.
There is written no where that 3 to 4 weeks is conclusive.
Can any doc reply please?
please read what I wrote in my post
thanks
You are negative! No HIV ..HIV AB/AG combo is considered conclusive 3 to 4 weeks after exposure..So be happy!
