What are my odds of getting HIV from unprotected anal male sex

I am a 38 year old gay male and over partied with friends last Thursday 12-3-2009 with had one too many martinis.  Stone drunk, I ended up going home for a one night stand with a guy--to cut to the chase we kissed, I received an unprotected blow job from him and then I penetrated him without a condom (started off with a condom but for reasons beyond me we took it off)---I am old enough to know better and am horrified by my behavior.  That said, I am trying to assess my risk of exposure to HIV.  I went to a local clinic yesterday on Monday 12-7-2009 and they told me I last tested negative for HIV 10-8-2009.  They took a swab of my urethra and everything looked okay under the microscope.  I am going back Friday 12-18-2009 to rule out other STDs.  I was told to test for HIV in three months 3-3-2010 unless I develop flu-like symptoms like headache, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, night sweats, lethargy, etc.  In that case I should be tested at that point.  I called the guy and he said he is HIV- but I assume he may be lying.  What are the odds of my contracting HIV?  Does this prescribed protocol seem correct?
Thanks!

not everyone exhibits symptoms of infection...but IF they do...it comes at 2-4 WEEKS after infection and lasts for 1-2 WEEKS.

Thanks.  I have a burning sore throat tonight, December 17th.  No fever, no headache, not sure if my lymph nodes are swollen or not.  Tomorrow I will get tested for other diseases--not showing signs as far as I can tell.

a test done at 6-8 weeks post exposure will give you a good indication of your status.  follow up at 3 months for a conclusive result.

Odd, pretty good by getting drunk and having unprotected anal sex.
