What expert authorities say..

Hello
I understand that HIV and oral sex debate showed different opinions. I feel that there should be distinction between low risk and non-existent risk.

Oral sex and CDC:

http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/qa/qa19.htm

See what is said in Australia:

http://www.afao.org.au/view_articles.asp?pxa=ve&pxs=84&id=405

See what is said in the UK:

http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Sexualhealth/Pages/HIV.aspx

Yes, some studies concluded that there was no HIV transmission through unprotected oral sex, but some studies suggested the opposite.

General consensus in medical professionals is that it is a low risk activity and chances of acquiring HIV through unprotected oral sex is extremely remote, but NOT non-existent.

It depends on the individuals whether they want to get tested or not after a low or extremely low risk.

Best regards.

- I'm sure that if you have half of the knowledge of Infectious Disease and Medical Practice /Protocol for that matter, that you present as knowing, you'd clearly be conscious of why Oral sex is not listed as "no risk" . That said, if a Physician, especially an HIV specialist doesn't feel this so-called "risk" warrants a test, well it should be clear to you why.

They don't even recommend testing. Now go post it on their forum so that you can be told once and for all by two Drs.

I will paste a link of an answer posted on Experts forum of this web site.

It clearly shows that oral sex is not zero risk. Yes, it is very low risk.

Best regards.
