What is it when?

"  Is someone who is undetectable still have the same risks of someone who isn't?"  I have heard different things about it and am just looking for a clear understanding about it. If being undetectable does that mean that there is no virus? Or is there? Are the chances of getting or transmitting the virus lessend? What does " undetectable" mean? I have been in a relationship with someone for a few months now and have a sexual relationship with someone who is positive and but is undetectable takes medication regularly. I want to someday maybe have children with this person but dont know what to do. There are alot of different comments and discusions about it.
Could someone please let me know?     Thanks.

Theres a doctor forum, if you want a second opinion, its a small fee.

That question is for a medical professional. All we can do is tell you if you are at risk. Yes you would be at risk even with undetetable viral loads. Only a doctor can discuss your options as to having children in a mixed relationship.

the best thing for you to do is go with this person to their next drs. appt and discuss this and any concerns you have with his doctor.

Sorry, I didn't realixe that I was being confusing or unclear. My question is if someone is HIV positive but has an undetectable viral load are the chances of the virus being passed lessend?  And what does it mean to have a undetectable viral load? I started seeing someone who is HIV positive and they have an undetectable viral load. We use protection during sex but, foreplay has been done without ( theres no finishing during penetration without a condom)( also there has been rubbing penis to vagina ) I'm falling in love with this person and am concerned when it comes to maybe having children.  I have read some things on line that people who are positive but undetectable ahve children and their parteners have not been infected. Why or how is that possable?

What are you actually asking? Does negative have the same meaning as undetectable? Someone is HIV positive but has an undetectable viral load? Can't answer your question without knowing what you mean.
