When to test after uncompleted PEP

Hello,my friend had unprotected anal sex with a guy. He took pep at 40 hours after the exposure, but he failed to complete the 28 day pep course. His pep treatment course was only for 7 days and then stopped.
Here is the question: when can he test for conclusive results?
Is it 3 months or 6 months or even longer. Thank you.

This seems to be a different risk than in your previous thread that is linked.  Have you had unprotected anal sex?

With a duo it is 4 to 6 weeks depending on who you ask. With any other test it is 3 months.

Of course since this situation is identical to your previous thread then you had no risk and can test at any time since there is no virus to test for.  https://www.medhelp.org/posts/HIV-Prevention/When-to-test-after-incomplete-pep-treatment/show/3026811#post_14351618
Thank you for your response. I am wondering whether the uncompleted pep will prolong the window period or delay the production of antibody if infected. And why? Thank you !
