Window delay and HIV-2

Hello, I am a consultant from Beijing. I am sorry that my English is not very good, so I will use translation software to communicate with you.

Five weeks ago, I did the "4th generation combi" test which was negative. But my doctor says that six weeks of testing can eliminate 95%. I think there are some queries about Internet window delay on the Internet before. For example, hormones, immunosuppressants, antiviral drugs and so on, but I can not remember whether this period of time has been used.

The Internet also says that the window period of the HIV-2 type in the fourth generation joint test is not four weeks, but six weeks.

This that true? Can i move on?

Thanks!

You can move on.  It is widely accepted by experts in the field of HIV that 28 days past the exposure, 4th generation combo tests are conclusive.  Your results will not change.
