Wooden filings

Can HIV virus be transmitted from wooden pieces which are sharp and wooden filings. I am an employee of a carpenter factory and I get pricked very often with wooden filings. Recently, these filings were stuck on my colleagues shirt and I got pricked with it. What if he also got pricked with the same piece and has HIV.

You were advised in the very first reply that you didn't have an exposure. Enough is enough.

I didn't understand what u said. I know it can't survive outside the body but can't it survive even for 2 mins. It's important for me to know since I work in this place and have prics always.

My thing is that even if it is 2 mins in between the prics. Can the virus remain infectious for 2 mins outside the body. Sorry to repeat the question but I didn't get the answer.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child

Will it not remain active outside the body for 2 mins or so. The prick from the filing was quite immediate.

Than, further to my question. What if the wooden filing pricks someone who is HIV positive and then I get pricked with it.
