Yellow tongue and worried

Hi all..as per my username and previous questions you can tell I'm a worrier so apologies in advance. I'll keep this as short as possible.

6 weeks ago I had a terrible sore throat which was treated with antibiotics and all was fine.

2 weeks later my sore throat came back and I went to the GP who said my tonsils looked fine, however I have a white tongue with yellow patches...she suggested that I should do an std test.

I went to the clinic had std test and rapid (the one with the lines) and lab HIV tests ...results a week later and all was fine. I should mention prior to my HIV test I had 3 oral only encounters (gay males) with no ejaculation - the most recent was 10 days prior to the HIV test.

I then went back to my gp (still same issues with tongue) who took a swab for thrush and I went on treatment for thrush for a week...however results for thrush from lab came back negative as well.

Back to GP again and now put on stronger antibiotics for another week, she suspects a bacterial infection now...im not too confident.

I'm just wondering if my symptoms (white tongue yellow patches and sometimes bad breath) are typical of ARS symptoms and if I should get tested for hiv again?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

You have no medical training so your self-diagnosed symptoms are of no interest to an HIV doctor.
What was your risk, and how long did you wait to test?

Hi AnxiousNoMore...thanks for your answer. As I said above, my risk was 3 x unproducted oral sex encounters with gay men (no ejaculation).
And it was 13 days post last encounter before I took tests...how long should I wait?
Only sex risks are unprotected penetrating vaginal or anal. Oral is not a risk. You had zero risk of HIV and wasted your time testing and worrying.

The cause of your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV, and you have no medical training so need to stick with your doctor for a diagnosis instead of self-diagnosing and focusing on a disease that you can't even have.
