acute hiv infection

I have read this forum.  Lots of people worry needlessly.  I don't believe I am one of them.  I was raped 11 wks ago.  I got morning after pill two days later. I had a severe headache the next day behind the eyes, sensitive to light. I went to bed it was gone the next morning. Two days later my throat started hurting, severly. I had white spots on my tonsils.  It lasted about 5 days. Swollen Nodes in neck during sore throat(painful).  Extremely tired and achy not sure if I had fever.  I had unprotected sex with my husband during this time. He got a sore throat, swollen nodes in neck(painful) and fever one week after me.  We both have had diarrhea over the past ten weeks on and off.  When our kids did not get the sore throat I became concerned and looked up STD/HIV symptoms and was devistated. I went for test at 19 days it was negative.  Not reliable I know.  After getting tested I had a lose of appetite, another sore throat, mouth watering, little white dots (not thrush) on insides of cheek, jawpain, fever blister on lip (usually get those when im stressed) unusual pain at week 9 on upper left abdomen kinda dull. I am so scared.  Not only do I think I have hiv but I think I gave it to my husband.  I just want to know if acute hiv is all at one time or spread out? And I had no semen discharge after rape so what are the chances of getting hiv from this exposure?  I also had an blister in my mouth last week.

Thank you for calming my nerves. I just got back test from 11 weeks.  It was NEGATIVE! Im going to have a follow up test in 5 weeks which Im sure will be negative too. I just wanted to say thanks. Its a good thing you do for others giving your time to ease the worry of so many. Your awesome in my book.

Your throat infection sort of sounded like strep. A lot of your other things sound like stress, I am a worrier and stress has caused all kind of symptoms with me.

Also I have another question about Lymph Nodes.  Can you have swollen Nodes in Armpits/Groin and not notice them ?

Thank You I hope you are right.  I am still scared but who wouldn't be.  Just this week my extreme tiredness has seem to have stopped.  It was such a problem over the past weeks that im a little concerned that it was from HIV?  I also lost 15lbs in the first month?  I hope this was from stress?  I had blood drawn a few days ago a week early but if its negative. I will have a follow up test in 6 weeks.

Not one of your symptoms is indicative of HIV. Your symptoms came to quick and spread out to be related to HIV. You can test at 6 weeks and then again at 3 months to obtain your conclusive test result,.
