am i at risk ?

hello dr.hhh,i'm male 30 years from malaysia.i had unprotected oral sex for shortly(she performed on me,i never gave)in 27th jan.she was a lady 22 years working at massage centre which her statue i dont know(she is filipino).i also had veginal sex,but i think it safe,i wore double condoms and i did check with no leak.what make me concern was that she brush her teeth before perform,i worry she might bleeding or not,but i dont see any cut on my penis,3 weeks from the exposure i caught flu-fever-ulser,the flu gone after 3days and fever came,(but gone within 2 days after i took 2 tablets antibiotic)it never came again untill now.at 6 and 8 weeks i had elisa tested, both negatif.hare are my questions:
1.what my risk?
2.do u think i'm just catching common flu and fever?
3.are 6 and 8 weeeks elisa test reliable(i'm healthy and never had drug)
4.i see some of your post say that accurancy at 8 weeeks is 98%,do u mean only with modern or new generation test?(the dr.told me they test with earlier generation, but they upgraded it,so i dont know the accurancy of the earlier generation).
5.do u think i need futher test?
thanks your time and replying.

You repeated variations on the same questions in several threads on the HIV community forum and had accurate replies to all of them.  It is unlikely your partner had HIV, and if she did, the risk of catching it was zero from protected vaginal sex and virtually zero from the oral exposure.  You did not need testing at all.  Symptoms never are useful indicators of new HIV infection and lab test results always are more accurate than symptoms.

1) Zero.
2) Whatever the cause of your symptoms, your test results prove it isn't HIV.  See a provider if you remain concerned about them.
3,4) These are different wording of the same question.  The 98% figure is for all tests and applies more or less the same to both older and newer HIV antibody tests.
5) No, you do not need further testing.

Regards--  HHH, MD

I meant to add another bit of advice:  Stop using double condoms for future sexual exposures.  They reduce protection, not increase it, because breakage is more likely.

This forum does not address overt AIDS or its treatment, only prevention of HIV infection (see the Disclaimer message at the top of the forum).  The estimate of 20 year survival is the average, and there innumerable reasons why many infected people have different outcomes than average.  I cannot even guess the reasons in your friend's case.  His doctor is the one to answer such questions.

You do not have HIV.  Therefore, this forum has nothing to offer you.  Follow your doctor's advice.  This thread is closed.  Do not start a new one; if you do, it will be deleted without response (and without refund of the posting fee).  Good bye.
