hi,
i know i've been told categorically that protected sex = no risk.
well i have develop a chicken pox type rash, its in my chest, back, face, neck and scalp mostly. it doesn't itch and 6 days into it, its not crusting over.
im freeking out because this is typical of a type of HIV rash also.
what are your thoughts? it happened 63 days after what i think is exposure?
would you recommend to test given the chain of events? or is it still condom sex = no risk?

thanks. i'll try to relax
There are no what ifs. Had the condom failed you would have known without a doubt. See your doctor if you are concerned with your health it has nothing to do with HIV.
hi,
what if condom broke. from what i remember she took it off and i dind't check... it's just that i never get sick, and all of the sudden i get this rash with swollen lymph nodes in neck, and some fever..after having sex with a prostitute...
can chicken pox rash easily differentiate from acute hiv rash? i what ways?
thanks
You never had an exposure so the answer for you is no.
just another quick question,
can acute hiv rash come 62 days after exposure, or is it too late?
im freeking out... my rash is all over the face, scalp, chest, back... swollen limph nodes in neck.. and need to wait till tomorrow for testing...
thank u, thank u, thank u!
i'm having chicken pox type bumps in scalp, chest, face, back and just notice in my penis 62 days after sexual encounter. fever and body aches preceded the rash for about a day. i was so scared it could be linked to my sexual encounter...
i will go to a doctor for a non std treatment on monday....perhaps a dermathologist.
thanks again for your quick reply.
regards,
No, TRUE ARS symptoms present all togther at one time, not staggered.
99% of the people in a study coming to the ER with suspected ARS symptoms were HIV negative, with their "symptoms" being attributed to something else entirely.
Your sex was protected, therefore you had no HIV risk. Even in an intoxicated state, I would highly doubt you wouldn't be aware of a condom failure. They are VERY obvious.
Testing would not be indicated in this instance.
