can i trust my 4th generation hiv test?

last sexual act was july 2015. no ejaculation/oral. began developing odd symptoms a year later. (sept 2016) white tongue, fever, swollen glands, sore throat. went to the dr., tested for mono and came back reactive. began freaking out because i read mono should never reactivate with symptoms unless it's cause by some severe immune disorders (cancer,hiv..etc)...so i panicked. and since the white tongue hasn't cleared up i took an 4th gen test in oct 2016. tested negative.  no sex since that july 2015..no drug use. would mono affects negative results ? can i trust my test?

The test was conclusive, so you are wasting your life trying to be a Google doctor with no training, basing your diagnosis on either of 2  faulty premises that you are dying and that you have any ability to diagnose disease  -- A flawed test result would require your body to rewrite all the laws of science that the 40 years of HIV history have proven.

What sex activity made you think you were at risk?

My advice is to see a therapist and get back to normal thinking by ending your HIV phobia, and/or see a doctor who can work with you to determine if you have  a disease that you might have, instead of HIV,
