condom broke during anal sex

I am a bisexual male. This happened about one week ago. Had sex with a transsexual one night while drinking. I used a condom of course but it ripped. I did finish and now I am  terrified. I talked to this person recently and that person assured me that shes clean. I just cant get it out of my mind that shes lying. I know this is high risk because I am not circumcised. When can I get tested and get a reliable result. Any info on this is really appreciated. I tried to be safe and an accident still happened.

First month was probably the most strenuous time of my life ( physically and mentally). After that I was actually surprised how well I got on with my life.

I took the time to read back through your thread. Quite a ride, wasn't it? I am very glad to hear that you tested negative, and am also very glad to hear that you are putting this behind you.

One thing, the CDC says, I believe, that a 3 month test is conclusive. That is the official guidance, anyway.

I just took my FDA approved HIV home access test...Results were negative. This test was done at about 5 months. I know the CDC says 6 months  but I guess you can pretty much say I am negative. This test is reliable right? I will like to thank the few people who had nice and supporting words for me. I been through hell and now I am back. I will never put myself in danger again. Safe sex is not 100% safe. Again thanks to all who had something good to say to me, don't know if you any of you guys still post here, either way thanks.

My joints stopped aching about 4 days after they started. I have not felt them ever since. I hope you get help with what you're going through. I just feel that if my joint pains were due to stress they would have continued but they didn't.

Honestly I didn't take the dna pcr test due to having to still test after 3 months post exposure. I wanted to celebrate Christmas and a new year still not knowing my status. Thanks for your kind words and yes I will test using the rapid test.

Wish you the best of luck on your test this week.I will be praying for you. Regarding the joint and muscle pain...I had unprotected vag intercourse with a csw 14.5 weeks ago. Since about the 4th week I have had muscle and joint aches up until today.(sometimes severe). I tested dna pcr @18/28 days-undetected, and rapid tests @5,,7,9,10,12,and 14 weeks all negative. 2 doctors diagnosed me with PTS(post traumatic stress) Im sure these pains you have are related to the stress you have been under the last 4 months. Hang in there, and we await to hear from you. GOod luck.P.S., why didnt you ever take the dna pcr test , like you had planned? ohh and by the way, I would recommend you take a rapid test if available in the area, so you wont have to wait stressfully for your result after you draw blood.

I test tomorrow or Thursday. I will post results, no matter what the outcome is. The joint pain is what scares me though, I never had joint pain in  my life and getting them within the ARS time line  is making me think I will post positive. Pray for me everyone.

Symptoms are not indicators of hiv. I had all the symptoms before I went for testing like pain in the muscle,  tinggling in the feet and hand, upset stomach, nausia feeling etc..... But after I got tested and when the results were negative all my symptoms disappeared. Its all in your mind and your mind controls your body. Just get tested and you will be ok. Come back and post your negative results.

Well it has come.. Time to test, I will be going sometime this coming week. I guess I did go through some symptoms which makes me scared. Had joint pain at about 10 to 14 days post exposure. I got this bumps on my butt didn't look like a rash though. I also got some bumps on my arms those itched really bad. I had maybe two bumps on my chest but again I don't think it was a rash. No fever whatsoever. At about 3 weeks when the joint pain went away I came down with a slight itchy throat, not sore just itched . I also got a stuffy nose and runny nose no temperature again. I did sneeze a lot during this time. Just slight cough nothing big. When that subsided I started experiencing headaches for about 4 days. At about two months I got some canker sores in  my mouth about 2 maybe. I also got this blood blister looking thing inside my mouth but it went away the next day. I know symptoms mean nothing but damn do they sure add to the stress. I never had fever or swollen lymph nodes, maybe one or two nights of sweating, nothing drenching though.
   I'd like to thank all the posters who had encouraging  words for me. Never thought I'd be posting here as I always no matter what wear condoms. Here I am after being dumb and paying with this fear and regret. I hope all of you wish me good luck.

So does a sore throat hurt. My throat just feels discomfort. Does not hurt when I eat, swallow or drink anything. Just know that it feels weird.
