I have a tattoo, I know from experience how it works. The needle does not plunge deep enough into the skin to give a viable path to the bloodstream and again the amount of blood on the tip of the needle would not be enough to give a risk. There has never been 1 case of HIV transmission from tattooing. Also with the alcohol that you use anything that would get onto the needle would be deactivated.
