hello my name is wendy

HELLO I WANT TO KNOW IF I HAVE HIV OR DO I HAVE ANY ANTIBODIES OF HIV. IT SAYS ON MY QUEST DIGNOSTICS PAPER THIS HIV AB, HIV 1/2, EIA, WITH REFLEXES HIV 1/2 EIA AB SCREEN. A NON-REACTIVE HIV-1/2 ANTIBODY RESULT DOES NOT EXCLUDE HIV INFECTION SINCE THE TIME FRAME FOR SEROCONVERSION IS VARIABLE. IF ACUTE HIV INFECTION IS SUSPECTED, ANTIBODY RETESTING AND NUCLEIC ACID AMPLIFACTION (HIV DNA/RNA) TESTING IS RECOMMENDED. RPR (DX) W/REFL TITER AND CONFIRMATORY TESTING. DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE HIV?

Well see i was told that i was diganosed with Herpes so then when they tested me for HIV Was around the same time of the Month Of May is when they tested me for HIV and told me it was negative and it was Non-Reactive. Then they also tested me again for Hiv around last month ago of October it said they everything came out good that nothing didnt show in the Blood Test. How can Herpes Dispapear If I Still Have Herpes In My Blood Stream. The Doctors Told Me That There Is No Cure For Herpes And That I Do Have It. But How long does it take for HIV To Show Up? Can you please Answer Me Back Thanks.

A HIV 1/2 NON-REACTIVE result means that the HIV Antibody was NOT detected in your system.

Please ensure that you are testing no sooner than 3 months after your potential exposure.

Hope this helps
