Thank you all, you helped me a lot ! thanks Teak, thanks Rainlover71, thanks Lizzie Lou !
I realize that but many HIV/AIDS organization or councils always encourage condom use for all types of sexual activities.Even the CDC says to use condoms when engaging in oral sex.
This forum is HIV specific.
Even though oral sex is not a risk for HIV it is a good idea to use them in case it leads to penetration which can happen very easily.
hiv is NOT transmitted through oral sex. there are over a dozen different proteins and enzymes in the mouth that inhibit transmission. saliva is not infectious.
no risk...no way ! ! !
HIV is not transmitted by oral sex. All STD questions need to be posted in the STD Forum.
@rainlover71 , ok, but for HIV,without wearing a condom, the risk is Zero? should i be confident in your answer ? :(
I would use a condom in future because she might have other STIs
and it is ok if i do it again?
Thats a text book answer and a very good one at that.HIV specialists will often provide similar explanations when explaining why saliva inhibits HIV transmission--welldone
it destroys HIV somewhat... the theory is that the HIV proteins are incapable of attaching themselves to the proteins in saliva..in a positive person the Saliva carries some HIV RNA and pro viral DNA components, but the levels are not high enough to survive in the HYPOTONIC enviroment of saliva.... the proteins can not and do not attach to cells in the mouth, thus die rapidly...
No you never had a risk from unprotected oral sex because saliva destroys HIV.
