Wb p55, p51, p66 band reactive
A true positive rapid test does not change back to negative except in very late stages of AIDS, which does not apply to you.
What were the bands on your WB?
What brand of rapid test was used in Nigeria?
Are you sure there was no sample mix up in Nigeria?
Means you don't have HIV as we've already expkained. Kindly move along.
what is .(3-5 negitive in nigeria ) ? what does that mean?
Teak is right, you do not have an HIV concern. You tested way beyond the window period. You never needed to test past 3 months. Obviously, your + result was a false +. It isn't uncommon to get an indeterminate WB with a false+.
You don't have HIV (luckily).
Time to move on now.
Move along you don't have an HIV concern.
Hallo nursegirl,
I am in fear, so mistakely typed.
I have tested positive with rapid kit at 6 months in nigeria and so tested wb interminate with 3 band.(3-5 negitive in nigeria )
So, I tested in india around 7-8 months negitive with tridot. Is hiv2 caused positive at 6 month
Still doesn't add up. Reread your first post again:
. I tested positive in rapid test at 8 months and wb tested indeterminate in nigeria. I was afraid and went to india and tested with rapid tridot hiv1/2 negitive at 9 months.
The times are all messed up, different from what you said initially. Initially, the pos result was at 8 months, now it is 6. Then, you said you tested in India at 9 months, now it is 7 AND 8 months? Something just isn't right.
Any which way... Teak is right, you never required more testing. 3 months would have been conclusive.
You may have gotten lucky this time, but your luck will eventually wear out taking those kinds of risks. USE a CONDOM!!!
Your test was conclusive on your first test. You do not have an HIV concern. Move along.
I have taken western blot beacause rapid test was positive at 6 months. So in fear I went to india and checked with tridot at 7,8 months result negitive.
Something is not adding up here....
If all of those tests were negative, why in the world did you even HAVE a
WB?
You are contradicting your own info...
I tested positive in rapid test at 8 months and wb tested indeterminate in nigeria.
You are now saying that the 8 month was negative when you intially told us it was +?
If ALL your rapid tests were -, you don't have HIV. Like I said before, an indeterminate WB does not verify infection.
It's very hard to advise you with info all over ther place. Were ANY of your HIV tests (not talking about the WB) positive? If so, when?
Why did you take a western blot? There was no reason what so ever for you to take a western blot test. HIV2 is slower to progress to AIDS but it has nothing to do with detection.
Sir, let me clear.
I have tested 3,4,5 months negitive with rapid test in nigeria and 6 months positive and interminate with 3 band. Tested in india at 7,8 months negitive with tridot.
As per the medhelp, 3 months is conclusive.
Is it hiv 2 is slow progressive
I agree with Teak, the testing doesn't make sense. I would advise you to go see an infectious diseases doc to sort out the testing. It's hard to say whether you got a false + or are infected.
Your testing doesn't make any sense.
I tested positive at 6 months in nigeria and wb interminate with 3 band.
I traveled to india and tested negitive at 8 months with tridot.
Is it slow progression
Then you will need to retest and I'm sure you were advised as such.
I didnot use condom and she was tested hiv.
An indeterminate WB would not diagnose HIV infection.
Did you use condoms with the infected women? Was it vaginal or anal sex? Are you sure the women were infected, or are you just assuming?
