hiv infection

before three and half years I had unprotected sex with friend twice. Later on i got maried and now i have two kids. Elder daughter is 3 years old and son is two year. both are very healthy and growing normally . they never been ill since their birth and so far they do not have  any complain with regards to their health including fever or vomitting .My son now, 2 yrs started walking @ 9 months and now speaks full sentences and thus ahead of other kids of same age. Both have normal weight and height.

But since that previous incidence i remain worried a lot and feel stressed about my status. Recently me and my wife took routine blood test. My WBC shows 6100 and haemoglobin 13.4% , lymphocytes 30% , Platelet count 2,10,000.
My wife has haemoglobin  8% , WBC 9200 , Platelet count  2,50,000 and lymphocytes 25%.

I was not having any dry coughing or weightloss during three year period. I do not have any headaches , vomitting sensation or any sort of diaherea. Most recently i observed some purple spots on my back and on shoulder. other than this had sore throat  which got cleard without any medicines.

I am extremely worried to take up the test and worried and stressful too much about it. Can you please throw any light on possibilities of infection by going through above blood test data and general case present here.

If the wife is negative  that does not mean that the husband is as well. I have a friend who had sex with her husband for years unprotected and she still doesn't have the virus. She definitely need a shrink though becasue she had been testing regularly for the past five years despite not having even close to a man after the revelation by her husband.
The husband found out when he went to the doctor for small sores all lover his body and his complexion got really dark and his hair was changing quality. His hair started getting straight without using a perm nor a press. He is Afro-American. The only reason I am mentioning race is to describe the symptoms. He still doesn't know where he got it from because he had been cheating around for years with people he obviously did not know much about.
Guys I am not saying these are symptom because they are not. I never read this in any book. I am only sharing what my friend's  husband's experiences were. He passed on by the way.

It's not mandatory in the US and most women don't agree to test. Why would they if they were never at risk? I would like to know where you got your 99%.

The federal law and hospital policy in the U.S. is to ask the pregnant mother to have an HIV test.
What pregnant women would say no?

I am sure that 99% of women who are pregnant agree to get tested.

That is not true at all. Please get your fact correct. There are no federal laws that require HIV testing in the US for expecting mothers. A mother can be asked if she would like to have an HIV test, but it's not mandatory that she take one.

No Teak

what I said is every United States hospital  are required by federal law to test a pregnant women for HIV. Not all countries do this testing. So if Teed1 kids were born in the US there is no possible way he had HIV!

You dont have HIV
Why do i know? your wife was tested for HIV in both pregnancies which is mandatory guidelines in the U.S.
If she was infected with HIV they would have told you! and you wouldnt have had your second kid!

You are in the clear my friend!

You should take an HIV test. Not that you have HIV, I believe you don't, but just to get the stress away. If, for instance you or someone in ur family becomes ill you will automaticly assume it could be HIV.

Take the test for the peace of mind.
