hiv test

i recently ordered a hiv test kit over the internet from a company called Labpro it came to the uk via malysia, it was a elisa test kit and gave a negative result, how confident should i be of this result?

Why waste money on tests that are not approved and go get a test that is approved and known to be reliable.

But are they reliable....because thet don't meet the west's & fda's standards which i know are high, are these kits reasonably accurate? do they give high rate of false negatives or false positves.....? The need for easy approved home testing is there why is the west not opening this badly needed service. i can understand the need for counselling but it should be at the user's discretion.

They are not approved in UK or the US.

what experience do you have of these kits and are they reliable?

This test are made in China and licensed by a company from Singapore
these test are using the lateral flow technology for testing !

To be 99% you need to be testing after 90 days
