hiv transmission risk

hi guys,

today i was at boxing and noticed some blood on and near some of the equipment (skipping rope). later while using the equipment (skipping rope), it accidently went into my mouth. I am worried that the blood may have gone into my mouth. am i at any risk here?

this is a serious question.

No, you were never at risk.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child
