Im kind of scared here about 10 years ago a friend of mine at the time was checking his blood sugar. Right after he stuck himself he stuck me to check mine. It happened along time ago but what I can rember i dont think even a minute went by between his stick and mine. I just found out 10 years later that he is hiv positive. Im starting to get folicutis and Im worried. Anyone that can help. Please

still no risk.

transmission takes place inside the body. Only a mixture of gaping wounds that need medical attention, large amounts of blood and a high viral load MAY pose a risk for external transmission.
A pinprick doesn't qualify you for testing :)

You're completely fine and have no HIV concern. A lancet doesn't hold blood in it and there is no documented cases of HIV transmission by this method so you will not be the first.

A lancet cannot hold a significant amount of blood on it. It's not like a syringe needle that can hold and protect infected blood inside it. Apart from that the virus doesn't stay active outside the body. You're safe and your folliculitis is certainly not related to HIV.
