Then just take an Elisa antibody test then.It is considered 99% at that time frame.
oh that is 99% conclusive as well? it has now been 9.5 weeks after exposure
There are many clinics in canada that would offer the DUO,you just have to locate one.Your other option is a rapid test at 6 weeks.
okay thank you, do you know if all clinics use the duo tests now? i live in canada if that has anything to do with it
No,I would say they were not ARS symptoms because fever is the most common and you never had a fever and also ARS rashes don't itch.Just take a DUO and get your peace of mind.
are my symptoms the typical are ones ? my fever was never high and the spots weren't really a rash
You need to test at 12 weeks for a conclusive result,if you can't wait that long have a DUO now,it will be 99.89% accurate.Only testing will tell you your status. All the best.
my temperature never got higher than 37.7 degrees celcuis
i had unprotected vaginal sex once.. i had a very sore throat 3 weeks past exposure.. i also got these lymph nodes on my neck.. On my back i got 4 or 5 red itchy spots but they were spread out on my back and went away the next day.. i then noticed them a week later but they disappear after 24 hours.. my test was a rapid test so not a duo.. i know that symptoms for hit vary but don't enlarged lymph nodes mean that they are responding to the infection hence they are creating antibodies which would have been detected in my test?
You can't go by symptoms because really they mean nothing when diagnosing Hiv unless they are the classic 3. Very sore throat, very high fever and a rash on the trunk--torso and limbs.A negative test at 4 weeks is excellent if it was a DUO.You need to tell us what your exposure was.
