my worries over lingering symptoms

Ok I have been to massage parlour recently and I have been told I don't have a risk by those experts on aidsmeds.
But I can't explain all my sypmtoms otherwise, nor can I related them to any other desease which share similar symptoms which I could be possibly exposed with. I am a healthy person, rarely got sick, and I am very aware of my health/hygenine all the time. Now after one erotic massage season with a sex worker (no penetration, did not share a kiss, but there were nude body rubbing/licking/nake genitals rubbing/masturbation/ejaculation)
I then have all these unexplainable symptoms. They include dizziness/a low-grade fever few days after exposure, persistant hot/warm skin/low sex drive for over a month, persistant lump in throat and white tongue lasting over 7 weeks, swollen lymph nodes on neck, and then generalise lymph nodes pains and body ache start on week 6/7, plus some minor sore on gum and mouth, sleeping disturbance, fatigue etc.
Well I know symptoms doesn't mean anything here, but with those swollen lymph nodes/white tongue/body ache I still have, I am sure the doctor will ask me to do a hiv test anyway.
Now if you ask my risk, I do have acnes/pimples all over my back, they could be freshly broken during the massage so virus might have the chance to get in during the body massage/licking, and my nake penis has also rubbed/touched her wet ***** briefly and i then ejaculated. They say infection never happens that way and so it is not a risk, but I am not too sure about it.

So many people have white **** on their tongues all the time, yet they never notice it until they think they have HIV.

It could be. I have no idea. But I've heard people got mono from sharing food too so who knows? Mono is way easier to get and can also give you all these symptoms, just test for it wouldn't hurt.

I don't think there's a chance your result will change at 6 months, this is just impossible since you have over 3 months negative already. But anyway if that will really give you peace of mind just give it a go then.
I would suggest you to keep looking for other causes though.

I forgot that I have purchased one lipguard in a shop and it was not packed may be a used one.So mono could be a chance??

yep you are right.........
even I have stopped counting symptoms....
So I will just get a final test done at 6 months(even everybody says it is not needed) for all these things and stop thinking about this.
It is too much now for my head so after this test I do not care what the fxxk is this all about.
only few weeks so I am just keeping myself calm and putting my mind somewhere else.

I don't know much about this p24+antbody, but as far as I know if western blot is negative then you are conclusively negative. And you don't have to kiss someone to get mono too, any direct contact with the infected saliva can give you that too. But anyway just give it a go, few people here have suprisingly found out they have mono with all these symptoms.
I think still have many swollen lymph nodes, I mean, too many that I lost count. On my neck a few, under ear both side which are visible, near jaw very a very small one, a few on my left armpit , and many small ones near groin/thigh area. They are not very large but they are usually soft/palpable. I don't know what to think anymore.

I have complete CBC count and WBCs were not so high(only 10.2 against normal 10 ) at week 11 and week 17 so mono is not a chance...anyhow I have not kissed anyone..
I am planing to get tested for this thing again and mono at week 26.

no kimoz... actually I had only this thing in my mind so in the lab I have asked for p24+antibody,elisa,dna pcr for this .But they do not have dna pcr and elisa so I have choosen p24+antibody(cmia) and western blot.
It turned out to be bad decision as DNA PCR might have given a clear idea....
As of now I feel fine but sometime feel weak or somehow hot(for 15-20 minutes in day).
I am still praying to get rid of this strage thing.
my right neck nodes are more swollen than the left one.
Also first I had my arm pit nodes swollen for two days at week 7-8 for two days and then my neck nodes.
After two days my arm pit nodes were reduced in swelling but the neck it is still there.
and the scary part is that they do not hurt normally.
so just praying.....

I am suprised you find this old thread of mine. Yeh these symptoms are crazy ain't they? Even today I still have some of these symptoms, its been many many months and that's really scary, although I am feeling perfectly fine, deep down i just know my healthy days are long gone already, and the thought that I might be carrying some kind of virus now which might hit me hard one day is really scary.
Oh but I am glad you find me here. Good to know everthing turned out fine for you too. Are you still troubled by any of the symptoms?

Hey kimoz i'm cyruss i've been experiencing the same disconforts as you for more than eleven weeks or so. I've always been very healthy, and hygean with me is a like a relion. I dont have any habits what so ever, dont smoke, rarely ever drink, and absolutely no drugs. Do to a recent risk exposure to hiv infection via a sexual encounter with a now former lady friend that didnt care to inform me of her hiv status at the time i've been literally living in fear and stressed beyond belief of eventually coming out positive. I informed my doctor and I had my blood test for every thing for diabetes to hiv to liver problems. Every thing turnd out fine but i still have aching joints mild swelling of lymph nodes, sudden light night sweats. I know how scary of this can be and how as norman  human beings we seek companionship and instead get this kind of insanty.

Ok, but I forgot to mention I have some neck pain during this week as well. They are lymph node pain, and my neck lymph nodes are well swollen. Some of them palpable and some even visible, and i can tell the difference when some of the left side lymph nodes are clearly more swollen/palpable than right side, and vice versa. I don't know about the other nodes as I can't really tell yet. My armpit doesn't feel comfortable that is. But the neck lymph nodes is the thing which worry me most. How comes I have all these swollen lymph nodes around my neck? I don't even have a sore throat (I only feel there is always something stuck in my throat but never feel painful), nor do i have tonsil, or a cold or sinus. I don't even cough or sneeze, and I don't have any of those typical thing which cause those lymph nodes. They just come out of nowhere! My tongue is white too. Why is it white? I didn't give oral, nor do share a kiss, I didn't take any antibotics too. I just couldn't think of other possibilities here. Today when I look at all the pimples at my back, well I just think it is quite possible if my infection happens there.

No offense, but you're full of ****, like everyone else on here (myself included) who has let anxiety get the better of them.

1) You had a near-zero risk encounter.
2) Your symptoms do not reflect PRIMARY (i.e., early) HIV INFECTION (aka ARS).
3) Your "self-diagnosis" is likely incorrect judging BOTH by the difficulty of the layperson self-diagnosing lymph node swelling AND by your own description of your observations.

You don't know what the flu is like? Have you ever had a bad cold? It's like that.

It's NOT just random aches and pains.

Go to your doctor. If s/he diagnoses lymphadenopathy, I'll eat my hat.

After 6 weeks, get a simple rapid HIV antibody test; I'm sure it will be negative based on your exposure and symptom descriptions.

Ok thanks for pointing them out, maybe I don't have all the classical symptoms there.
But I really think I am experiecing lymphadenopathy
now, otherwise I wouldn't feel the random lymph nodes pain all around my body. I am not sure about rash, I do have some pimples outbreak on my back here and there, but i used to have them anyway. But there's small area on my left leg which look really suspicous though, it does seems to have some kind of small reddish pale color marks under it, I can't really tell if it was a concern as it was not very noticable. But who knows maybe there is a minor small rash there.
But guess what when i type white tongue and swollen lymph nodes in Wrong-diagnosis it only points to hiv, scary isn't it? I can really feel there are many swollen lymph nodes on my neck, they are growing in numbers, espcially my deep cervical nodes are visible. My armpts starts to look suspicious too.
I don't know much about flu-like symptoms, as I hardly caught any flu before. I do start to experience some random body aches now so I guess this is the flu-like symptoms you are talking about? But strange this start so late I thought they all come and go together? Maybe I am a fast progressor, or maybe I have a co-infection with something else. Yeh I used to be healthy before, now I am really screwed.

HIV-related ARS symptoms are generalized, but almost ALWAYS include...

fever
rash
lymphadenopathy
fatigue
ill feeling, like a really bad flu

...and start ~3 weeks post exposure and last 1-3 weeks.

YOUR SYMPTOMS:

dizziness
a low-grade fever few days after exposure
persistant hot/warm skin
low sex drive for over a month
persistant lump in throat
white tongue lasting over 7 weeks
swollen lymph nodes on neck
generalized lymph node pain and body ache (week 6/7~)
minor sore on gum and mouth
sleeping disturbance
fatigue
painful 'lymph nodes' on back of knees

Other than 'fatigue', none of these indicate HIV-related ARS. Period. The fever started too soon to be related.

Unless a doctor has told you that you have generalized swelling of the lymph nodes, I think you are mistaken.

The swollen areas on the back of your knees are not lymph nodes. If might be a Baker's cyst, a herniation of the synovial sack in the knee joint, a common knee problem, often caused by knee strain from exercise.

BOTTOM LINE: You had a zero risk exposure and now are finding 'symptoms' that have nothing to do with HIV.

You do not have HIV. Medically speaking, you do not need testing.

kimoz,

The aidsmeds folks are correct. You are not at risk for HIV from the encounter you described.

You stated: "But I can't explain all my sypmtoms otherwise, nor can I related them to any other desease which share similar symptoms which I could be possibly exposed with."

It's very odd that you "can't explain all [your] symptoms otherwise" because your symptoms are not indicative of HIV-related ARS. Unless you inform your doctor about your HIV fears or use of sex workers, I seriously doubt that he would recommend HIV testing based on your symptoms.

Your symptoms are very nonspecifc and could be related solely to anxiety. See your PCP for diagnosis, but HIV is definitely not a concern from your exposure.

But see hiv-symptoms has always been non-specific. I suddenly got so many non-sepcific symptoms suddenly after this encounter which persist for a period of time that never happend to me before, plus those specific one (swollen lymph nodes, white tongue). Maybe I should do a test, but I worried that my current temproary/student visa might not be granted/extended if I test postive.
Now my lymph nodes under my knees hurt, it must be generalise swollen lymph nodes I have.
