It looks for both antigen and antibodies. At 8 weeks the antigen part is useless. But as I said the 8 week test is unlikely to change (antibody).

It is not approved to give a conclusive negative test earlier than 3 months post exposure.

Based on the CDC guidelines, a test is conclusive at 3 months. But read the Drs' answers in the expert forum on this topic and you will get a better sense as to the reliability of a duo / combo test like yours at 4 weeks. If I were you, I wouldn't worry. Stay safe.

I don't know what lab you went to by they were incorrect. There are no tests marketed or sold to give a conclusive negative test result earlier that 3 months post exposure.

"and can i consider this stupid 8 weeks p24 4th gen final?"-Do you have troble reading? Because I clearly said 3 months is conclusive.

Symptoms or lack of are never going to tell you anything in terms of HIV.

well i have something else, after my incedent i slept with my wife without condom, after that by 8 weeks i tested negative in p24 and Eclia antibodies test. now my wife for the first time she was waiting her period and it didnt happened ( its late 6 days) she did the test of pregnancy at home and no results. she had a normal flu for 4 days from 3 weeks then after that she had infection in her middle ear and she took madicine ( anti biotics). as i was searching on the net i saw that hiv symptoms on women are menstrual irregularities!! i was shocked because at that time i belived my 8 weeks results and and i planned to get a baby. now am confused. is menstrual irregularities is an HIV sypmtoms for women? and can i consider this stupid 8 weeks p24 4th gen final?

3 month antibody test is conclusive. 8 week test is unlikely to change. The antigent part of the test is meaningless after about 4 weeks.
