please help me...im so scared

Before I begin I want to apologize for how ignorant this question is going to sound. I really don't know and that's why I'm here. My friend who is HIV positive came to town for a visit. He is a gay male in a happy relationship. I am a straight female. My concern is this. He has a dog..and his dog was licking my hands which have cuts on them from my work. Is it possible that the dog licked a wound on him and then licked my cuts on my hand and transmitted the virus to me? Because I have been feeling under the weather and today I woke up to an obvious rash on my stomach. It has been almost two weeks since he came here and we only hugged and hung out but I'm scared it doesn't make any sense why I would have a rash and be feeling weird.
Could I have gotten it unknowingly in some way well we hung out? Please help me I'm losing my mind here.

You do not sound "ignorant." You sound scared, but you can stop now because you had absolutely NO RISK!

You are a very special person to continue to love and welcome your HIV+ friend into your life and your home. Sadly, too many people turn away from their friends when their status becomes known.

There are only three ways you can contract HIV

1) UNPROTECTED INSERTIVE ANAL/VAGINAL SEX WITH AN HIV+ PARTNER

2) SHARING IV DRUG WORKS (NEEDLES) WITH AN HIV+ PERSON

3) HIV+ MOTHER TO HER UNBORN CHILD

Keep loving your friend. AND his dog.

You NEVER had a risk either from the dog nor the way "you hung out" with your friend.
You did NOT contract HIV and do not need to test.

Not feeling well and the rash have NOTHING to do with HIV. I'd be more inclined to blame them on a cold, the flu and possibly a mild allergic reaction to the dog, which I doubt would take two weeks to manifest itself. Anxiety can produce these same symptoms. If these symptoms do not subside within a few days, or get worse, consult your doctor.

Hello, try to calm down, you have no reason the worry at all. You weren't at any risk, HIV is never transmitted in that way.
