Thank you for replies I feel reassured.

As for sexual intercourse I don't think I am ready for that yet, trying to take one step at a time.

hiv is a very weakly transmited virus and dies as soon it comes to air contact  so dont  worry  and practice safe sex we have only one life to live

I know and i am really trying, some websites say there has been some people who have contracted HIV this way.  I don't feel I am over the top about stuff, we have had a few weeks now where I have not thought about my risk. It's been over 20 years since I felt this way about about anyone for many years and that is pretty scary without the status

You've been coming here long enough to know that saliva is not infectious.

Not sure why  i got this reply it is the first time I have asked this question. We have an appointment in two weeks with the health advisor. I am feeling anxious about the risk. I do care for this man everything is great except for his status which I am trying very hard, the past few weeks I have been fine until this, I tried to find the answer but couldn't.

You have to understand I have never known anyone with HIV before,
