questions about tests

i had a physical a few days ago and had complete set of bloodwork done (CBC, dif etc).  I know the tests wont show HIV infection but if you do have HIV and there are anti-bodies in the blood would it show as an increase or decrease in your white blood cell count.  Just wondering, i have to go back for some additional blood work and was thinking of asking for an HIV test just to be on the safe side.

The only way to know your status is by taking an HIV test.

i had unprotected sex with about 3 years ago.  no other symptoms, rash, no colds/flu symptoms, i do have dry mouth though and seborrheic dermititus.  which i noticed are symptoms of HIV infection from doing research on line.

i should mention that the bloodwork came back normal and the only thing that was elevated was my sugars and cholesterol.
