If you had a risk of contracting HIV ask a question, if not, go play on your mat on another forum. This forum does not support "TROLLS."

WP, don't post on this forum until you are educated in HIV transmission. Which by your above post shows that you are not educated at all about HIV.

First of all, this is a fairly old thread...and secondly....you are incorrect in your idea of HIV transmission.

The amount of bleeding and HUGE gaping wounds that BOTH parties would have to have to even be considered a risk at all is enormous.  As in....you'd be in a medical helicopter and not wrestling.

Just to come in contact with someone's blood does not cause a risk...even if you would had cuts and scrapes yourself.

In any type of fight sport you will bleed,I've wrestled for 7 years anyone who tells you different is a moron. He should make sure in practice he wears a long sleeve type athletic shirt and a pair of jogging pants when he wrestles in practice with this kid because if he has any open cuts and the kid bleeds on him he can get infected!

just coming in contact with someone else's blood, does not put you at risk!

It's not a risk period. Even if an HIV+ person bleeds on his partner.

Since HIV is transmitted through blood, it is a reasonable question.  After all, wrestling is a contact sport which inevitably involves bleeding.  I don't know of any wrestler who at some point hasn't bled or come into contact with another person's blood.  There's at least some blood involved every few practices.

I'm not saying it's risky.  I'm just saying it's a reasonable question to ask.

There has never been a person infected due to sports.
