salivary glands and lymph nodes

in february 2009 i had unprotected vaginal with a woman with whom i found out months later that she was an iv drug user, i asked her if she had been tested for hiv and she said yes she was tested in july of 2008 and it came back negative, she was tested in the rehab center.  she has been clean of the drugs since sept. 2nd 2008. from the time of exposure i did not expierence any symptoms, but in late june early july my parotid glands swelled up which was cleared up by anti-biotics. in august i have expirenced some swollen lymph nodes in different areas and i get swollen lymph nodes still from timne to time. i went to an e.n.t. and had him check for lymph nodes in my neck he said he didnt detect any but i have t.m.j. could these swollen lymph nodes and swollen salivary glands be from hiv infection. i talked to the girl just yesterday and she maintains that she is clean and healthy, is it possible for her not to have any symptoms and me to have symptoms

There is no such thing as a typical infection with HIV. Opinion is you can't use symptoms and the only way to know is to get tested.
