scared please read

3 nights ago I had sex with someone I've had sex with before in Aug. The last time we had sex was in Aug and we wore a condom but it came off and we continued without it. I tested at appropriate times since then and all were negative. Three nights ago I had protected/unprotected sex with the same person. We started off with a condom but after he ejaculated he took and off and we kept going for all of 5-10 mins. Fast forward to today...I feel like crap bc I think the anxiety is kicking in and I'm suddenly having lower stomach pains. My question is, was this a low risk or high risk? What are my chances that I might have contracted the disease?

A risk is a risk, you can take an HIV DUO test at 4 weeks followed by an antibody test at 3 months. It would be foolish to give you odds because only a conclusive result is what matters.

Thanks Teak, you rock! That was really what I wanted to know as far as pregnancy goes! I'm feeling good about the 3week negative. I will continue to test. Thanks everyone and God bless

Pregnancy does not delay seroconversion.

I took a combo test at 3 weeks and it was negative. I'm going to test again at appropriate timing. I found out I was also pregnant. Could the pregnancy delay conversion? It's been 2-3 weeks and I haven't had any signs of ARS...could the pregnancy delay it? Could the negative at 3weeks be a good indication?

Thank you so much! I appreciate your help. I'm going to most definitely test at appropriate timing. I'm hoping for the best, last time I was in this situation I nearly had a melt down but I tested and everything was negative. I had sex with the same person but I dont know who he's had sex with since our last encounter. He too ensured me he tested and was clean but I will be safe and test myself. Thanks for your time

ARS kicks in at 2 to 4 weeks post--exposure & the most common symptom is extremely high fevers.

How long does it take after possible exposure for ARS to kick in? Is it too early for ARS symptoms? I understand all of what you're saying and I will test at appropriate times.

Thanks for your advice, I appreciate all that you do here. Today marks the 6th day after my possible exposure and I feel nauseated. 3 days ago I had a OB as o have hsv2 ...I haven't had a OB in quite some time now...do you think this OB is happening due to my immune system being compromised by HIV? I've been stressing every since my possible exposure and I just would like some statistics on if the exposure was a low or high risk. What are the chances that I indeed get infected? Thank you so much

Go through what you did on your first exposure.
