Please read all the Drs answers the symptoms are useless are way to common, and only happen in the 50% of the people infected, like I told you in your other post, if you have a negative test at 11weeks and 3 days, doestn matter if you have all the symptoms or no symptoms etheir way you are negative, forget about this, if you continue searching for symptoms, test accurancy, ect. you will continue worried, you are hiv negative, so move on, forget about this, and always use condoms,

keep well

When ARS happen it happens before having detectable antibodies, usually 2 weeks after.

seroconversion average time is 14 days, but it can happen up to 12 weeks thats why the window period is 12 weeks.

50% of the people have detectable antibodies at 2 weeks
95% at 6 weeks
98-99% at 8 weeks
100% at 12 weeks

no they are two diferent things, seroconversion is whe the body of an hiv infected person produces detectable antibodies, and ARS is Acute Retroviral Syndrome that is a reaction of the body while fighting with the HIv virus at the beggining of the infection (2-6 weeks after infection) that produces some symptoms only 50% of hiv positive people recall having ARS symptoms and from that 50% the symptoms most frquent where
96%   fever
74%   enlarge lymph nodes
70%   sore throat
70%   rash

remember only 50% of the people positive hiv had ARS so the symptoms are useless in predicting an hiv infection, the only way to know if someone is infected is getting tested,

Check the Dr's forums here.  They are far more up to date with information than most clinics I've been to.

Beside reading the Dr's forum archives, you may also wish to visit your local HIV testing centre and get tested(if necessary) at the apporiate time if you are overly stress out.

Cheers!

Seroconversion :-
The body usually takes several days or weeks to recognize HIV, and then it produces antibodies to attack the virus.

6 to 12 weeks after HIV has entered the body, antibodies to HIV appear in the blood in sufficient concentration to give a positive blood test.

Seroconversion is when your body makes antibodies to an antigen.  You've "officially" seroconverted if you've got detectable antibodies.

Are you asking how long it takes to show up positive after acute HIV / ARS ?
