shifted condom

this is going to sound dumb, but I'm curious. I have having intercourse where I was the top. I used a condom, and came in the condom, but the tip of the condom was shifted off to the side of my head instead of the tip where it should be. This resulted in the ejaculation floating upward into the condom. My question is, again, may sound dumb but...if the tip of the condom wasn't at the tip of the penis when ejaculation occurred, does this mean the condom was not used properly, and there is a risk of infection?

As long as the condom did not break and the head of your penis was protected from start to finish, you had no risk.
