so not worth it
Hello all im in need of some advice. Recently like 5 or 6 weeks ago i had unprotected sex like an idiot it didnt last long at all but still i got in touch with the guy and asked about the last time he was tested for hiv and other stds he said a couple of months ago...we only slept together once. Close to a month ago i started dating my current boyfriend and we always use condoms but one night he asked me if he could feel it without the condom i told him no well as we are engaging in intercourse i felt his penis and realised he wasnt wearing a condom we had just started intercourse i'd say he only thrust like 2 or 3 times i hurried up and made him put on a condom he thought it was funny but im freaking out he hasnt been tested recently he claims like 6 months ago and he admitted to being promiscous in the past thats what has me worried :( i know i need to get tested already from the encounter i had with my friend a few weeks back even though he said he was recently tested but people lie. The problem is i cant see my doc until november i aint going to last that long i have anxiety disorder so im already taking anxiety meds to help me keep calm. My question is should i be worried about my friend...or my bf....ive gotten to the point i dont want to have sex cuz this hiv anxiety has literally killed my mood. I havent had the ars symptoms as far as i know....fever. rash, headaches...ive had none of that. I did get a cold but i just had a runny nose, watery eyes, and a little cough. I also have pain not servere though in my back well actually my shoulder and a little bit in my chest area but like i said nothing severe....and ive been itchy all over but i think its my anxiety any advice would be appreciated im extremely worried :(

Well to start out as you said you need to be tested, But to help ease your mind let me say this. HIV is not an easy virus to catch but you were at risk. The estimated odds of a single exposure for unprotected vaginal intercourse is 1 in 1000 and the chance your partner had HIV was low around 1 in 1000 chance he did. If iI were you I would have both guys test, they can get a rapid test done in 15 min and if they test NEG that will ease your mind some more. Get tested at 6 weeks to get some peace of mind and at 3 months for 100% answer. My bet is you are fine. Symptoms mean nothing
ive been looking and i havent found a place thats free yet...they all have fees so far. i live in nevada.
Lessonlearned86 u don't need money to go to a clinic...all std/hiv screening is free espically if going through your local cities or counties health dept.

And I know easier to say than do - but try not to stress to much - although it's not 100% no risk its close to it - a one off vaginal sex incident has the odds HIGHLY in your favour.

Get a rapid test at your local health clinic and MAKE your bf go also! He shouldn't be doing stuff like that w/o your permission. U get results in 20mins!
Thank you Nick i appreciate your response....its just my body is a bit achy i dont know if its from stress or what i was thinking about going to the er to see if they can do a rapid test or somthing...i dont know if i have swollen lymph nodes im not really sure what lymph nodes are and im not about to get on google and look up info on hiv seeing as it will probably increase my anxiety. Im definetly going to have a talk with my bf i dont appreciate what he did seeing as he aint been tested in awhile i dont play when it comes to my health except for this one screw up...im just trying to relax but i have a feeling of doom and i dont know what to do.
Can you get tested at your local health department? I have read that results at 6 weeks can be very reassuring...
