the figure 1-in-8,000 means that it takes an AVERAGE of 8,000 contacts with an HIV-positive female for an HIV-negative male to get HIV

I feel very sorry for you son's case. He has a great mum.
Question: Do u hv any idea how he got infected? Was the female a sex worker or drug abuser? Was it an unprotected sex?

oh i've got a FIGURE for ya...my son contracted hiv from a single, one time exposure from an infected female!!!!!!!!
