symptoms but hiv elisa test negative

I had HIV Elisa tests done at 2, 3, 5 and 6 months, all negative.  However 6months ago I was raped and have been sick since. I have been tested for all other STDs which are all negaive except for an HPV wart which I never had before. I  have had vaginal swelling, burning and severe pain which wont go away and no doctor knows what it is.  I have also been having severe eye pain, sometimes with blurry vision.  After the rape I had strong naseau, bloody stools, bloody noses and severe headaches, the headaches have not gone away along with gastro problems.  Are these tests accurate or do I need further testing?  What else could this be?  Thank You.

you could have stopped at 3 months for a conclusive test result.

whatever is going on with your health, is NOT hiv related.

You are conclusively negative and you didn't have to test past 3 months. See your doctor for  your symptoms they have nothing to do with HIV.

I have seen all sorts of doctors and no doctor can give me a diagnosis.  That is why I'm so scared.  Any idea what this can be then?  Could anything affect the tests accuracy and do they test for all strains?

We do know it's not HIV.

Anyone know whats wrong with me?  Do Elisas test for all strains and can anything affect the tests accuracy?

no one here can "diagnose" you...but what we can do is rule out hiv.
focus your attention elsewhere...away from hiv...you are CONCLUSIVELY NEGATIVE.

I thank you for your responses.  Being you are a women, have you ever heard of a swollen labia and clitoris for months, with skin splitting as well?  Like someone is using a blow  torch.  I feel like something took over my whole body.  When this first occured i would wake up with my legs shaking uncontrollable.  Along with all of my other problems, eyes, passin g out.  I was hospitalized twicw, once for passing out and once for abces in rear.  That is why I was aking about the Elisa test accuracy and if they test for all strains.  I am very scared.  I was perfectly healthy before this incident.  Thank you in advance for your input.

one more thing to add, severe shooting pains to my head.

Take your symptoms up with your doctor. You don't have HIV.

Thank you for answering.  I have been to a lot of doctors, all who have no idea what is wrong with me, this is why i am so scared.  Please just let me know if an Elisa test is enough to ensure accuracy, or if i need additional testing.  Also, in your opinion, what does this sound like?  Thank You.

Your test in conclusive, you can rule HIV out, explore other possible causes with your doctor

Thats what i have been doing and noone can give me an answer.  One doctor was sure that i had herpes b/c of the extreme swelling and pain but that came back negative.  I was told yeast, dermatis eczema, everying, every doctor says something different, that is why i am so scared.  As far as my eyes, the eye doctor said dry  eyes which i never had.  i was perfectly healthy before all this and now i never feel well.

I live in New York if that makes a difference with testing.

Also, I think i was drugged b/c i remember he went in me and then masterbated and after cummed all over my body, gross.

No New York doesn't make any difference, I can't really comment on your symptoms but you simply need to accept your negative HIV status and keep working with your doctor.

no one here can diagnose you.  what we can tell you is that you do NOT have a hiv concern.

Thank you, so Elisa test alone is 100% accurate and I don't need other types of tests?  Does Elisa test all strains?  That's all I need to know and then I'll leave this alone.  again, Thank You.

DO YOU THINK THAT I'D BE TELLING YOU THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE A HIV CONCERN, IF YOU DID???

YOUR TEST(S) WERE RELIABLE AND CONCLUSIVE.

Dear Lord.  Please read the forum rules.

I'm sorry for what happened to you.....I would suggest two things.

ONE---you seek counseling, b/c you'll need to work thru your emotions.

TWO--keep working with your doctor.  Your symptoms are NOT due to HIV, you've ruled that out, which is GREAT!  I bet as soon as you start getting your anxiety under control....a lot of your symptoms will start fading away.

Again...PLEASE review the forum rules.  EVERYONE must follow them to maintain order and fairness.  This is a very busy forum, and everyone wants an individualized answer to their worries.  It isn't fair for us to be spending SO much time with one poster, and not another.....no person's concern is less valid than another's...to THEM it is just as important.

(And this applies to everyone......)
