Sounds like you are in the same boat I am. Unprotected (oral in my case) sex with girl. Negative at 3 months (84 days), been having a sore throat for 7 weeks, still worried, just waiting for 6 months so I can rest my mind. Your mind needs rest as well. I've been catching colds either this winter, and hopefully my nerves are doing most of it to me. I pray everyday as you should too. Patients, and time will help you ease your mind. Your most likely negative, but that tiny tiny doubt makes it hard. I know exactly how you feel cuz i'm there too! Good luck and god bless.
If you have not been at risk again after your test, In regards to HIV, yes it would be safe to continue.
tnx nick 1 more advice,so can i have unprotected sex with my gf now base from my status?
None of your symptoms have anything to do with HIV and NO you do not need any testing.
teak merry christmas, is swollen nodes behind my ear a symptom of hiv? i have also mouth palate sore ann white spot inside my cheecks, and sore troath,do i need to test again?
im a filipino to like you, base from your studies did see any person whos negative status in 12 weeks then turns positive on its 13th week mark?
HIV testings are not exactly the same worldwide. Each countries has there own specific guidelines inregards to testings, Obviously those who devised and approved these guidelines have enough data to support their recommendations.
I'm not here to say / judge one's guidelines compared to others. Ok, If someone calculates 3 months as 84 days versus 90 days, does that mean that his calculation is right and conclusive compare to the other one? If someone is ok with the 84 days result what about a negative in 83 days?....If experts here says 83 days is conclusive then I'm sure there will be someone would be asking for 82.5 days result.....
You always have the option where to believe but the fact still remains that wherever you are, whatever calculations you do - still the 3 months mark remains the Golden standard.
tnx dude im just afraid about the possibilities about the accuracy of the rapid test and the time frame or the window period.coz other say 12 other says its 13.
Dude, your 12 week test more than conclusively establishes your HIV status. You are NOT HIV+. If you keep beating around the bush and try to find symptoms, there is no end to it. Drop this fear and move on with your life.
sir im sorry for keep on asking,im planning to get married and i want to ask if my 12 weeks is enough.
i mean about the 12 and 13 weeks,is there any difference?
You are conclusively negative. Move along.
sir teak can yu answer my last question pls
so it means 12 or 13 are just the same in terms of hiv testing,is that your point
It's not. It's the way 3 months is calculated in the different areas.
one last question,US is very rich country why is it that the window period in your country is longer than other poor countries,i read from your many replies that only US uses 13 weeks, where in US has all the advance technology in term of hiv testing.and tht makes me worry coz i came from poor country.
No you do not need further testing.
do i have to test again on the 6 month time frame?
No back pain is not a symptom of HIV. You have a conclusive test result. You are HIV negative.
is back pain a sign of hiv,can i put this worry about hiv away because of my 12 weeks negative test result?
Doesn't matter in your case you have a conclusive negative test result.
is it true that people who have stds (gonorhea etc.) can possibly contract hiv?
