tasting time frame

I am going to get an hiv test today.I have had a risk for hiv. It has been two and a half weeks since the exposure. Is it way to early or will some people have detectable antibodies by this time.

Do a test in 6-8 week for HIV 1/2 antibody. This will give a fairly accurate results .However 3 months is necessary for conclusive results..And stop taking drugs. It kills...Life is beautiful even with all complications..Go to a rehab

If you read the whole post I told him that I had been tested for hiv in the past but not for this recent exposure 2 and a half weeks ago. I dont know if I wasn't clear enough but I know that I didn't have hiv for my past drug use but as for my recent exposure how could he know i dont have hiv. I just want to know hol long do I wait to get tested for my recent exposure? Is 2 and a half weeks too early?

I was an iv drug user in the past and I just recently relapsed. It was 2 and a half weeks ago and I used a needle that I bought from the street. At the time I didnt think about it because it looked like a brand new needle but what if the guy sold dirty needles that he cleaned.
