test results

had an hiv test done. repeatedly positive for hiv and western blotter negative and absence of all bands. last sexual contact approximately 30 days before testing. what should i believe?

i guess my biggest issue was the western blot test. as i mentioned before, it was negative and the report showed absence of all the bands listed. thanks for your input! i am going to change my life completely and try to understand that my spirituality needs to be more of a focus. god bless

a western blot trumps an antibody test.

if you tested 3 months post exposure...consider yourself negative :)

thank you. being retested this upcoming week. i havent eaten or slept in 5 days and im sure this isnt helping me. other than waiting for the next results i guess there isnt much i can do to achieve some type of mental relief. thanks again

Sounds like you had a false positive.

However, if your last sexual contact was unprotected vaginal or anal sex, then you should repeat the tests at 3 months for a conclusive result.
