The DUO test is an HIV test that looks for antibodies for HIV-1 and HIV-2 and also looks for evidence of the p24 protein which is on the surface of the HIV virus particle.
at 105 days post unprotected exposure I tested negative with a elfa test named vidas duo. Am I negative? Symptoms are still bothering me
You are conclusively negative.
when is conclusive window period.3 or 6 months. does window period change with testing kit generation and country
3 months post exposure has been the testing guideline since 2004
ok thank you.is that guideline for any country and any generation
Patience! We are not here every second of every day!
The official guideline is a US guideline, which is what we go by on MedHelp. Other countries may vary a bit, but the fact remains that the current available tests are very sensitive and can detect antibodies much faster than ini the past. Most newly infected people test + within weeks, they don't even require the whole 3 month period to test +.
You are overthinking this. Let it go. You don't have HIV.
