timing and sensitivity
Hi Doc,
Had a protected sexual intercourse six weeks ago. Despite of this, the girl gave me a ******* without condom and we kissed. I mention this since I have a broken tooth that could bleed I guess at times. That girl being from Central Africa I am even more worried. Now this is what happened after that day six weeks ago.
Got her and myself tested with immunocomb and another test at d-day + 2. Both neg.
I took another test at day +25 (Immunocomb and another one I cant recall) : neg
Took a test Immunocomb + Vidas DUO AG P24 at day + 29 : neg
Now got my latest test at day + 41 (solely Elisa, no AG P24) : neg
Question is can we consider that these tests can detect antibodies for a potential HIV1-subtype O ?
Last demand is : according to you how reliable is such a single Elisa test at day+41 ?
As lots of people, I really freak out.
