worried and stressed

Hi Doctor,
About 5 days ago i had unprotected anal sex with a sex worker in Singapore. I was highly intoxicated and i dont remember much about it. The following days i began to get very anxious and worried about the possibility of HIV infection. Yesterday i went to see a practitioner for a HIV/STD blood and urine test and now have to wait a week until i go back to review the results. I havnt had many symptoms to speak of until last nite a awoke with some acute muscle and joint pains, headache and generally uncomfortable. Yesterday afternoon i went for a lengthy run but i dont usually feel sore after exercise. Could these symptoms be due to stress or do i have reason to be overly concern??
Thank you.

Today i received my test results back from the doctors and so far it appears i am clear of all STI's. Although i am delighted with the result so far i will be going back every 6 weeks for further testing as i am aware that many infections will take some time to manifest. many thanks to the forum for your comments and concern for my dilemma. I will make more updates as they come to hand. thank you.

http://www.cdc.gov/condomeffectiveness/latex.htm

Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Including HIV Infection, Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing the sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. In addition, consistent and correct use of latex condoms reduces the risk of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including diseases transmitted by genital secretions, and to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases. Condom use may reduce the risk for genital human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and HPV-associated diseases, e.g., genital warts and cervical cancer.

Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier to particles the size of STD pathogens.
