what is chronic microvascular ischemia in white matter of brain

Thank you very much.  Now my children want to know if it is hereditary!  They already have to worry about the neurofibromatosis gene.  I told them it was probably caused by the horrific fall I had and hurt my head.

Hi!
Very small blood vessels in the brain get blocked and this results in loss of oxygen supply to minute areas of the brain. This is called micro-ischemia. This
appears as small white dots on MRI. It can be caused by diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, advanced age, and autoimmune diseases. Hope this helps. Take care!
