My daughter has hit her eye and we are worried about a concussion. How long should we keep her up for observation

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
As caregiver pointed out, it depends on the nature of injury. A mild hit would only cause a black and blue eye that will heal with time. A more sever blow to eye will cause eye damage more than concussion. However if it was the forehead area then also blue black eye is a possibility. Concussion can occur if the forehead was hit hard. By now she must have settled down However is she has vision problems, headache, nausea etc then consult a doctor ASAP (maybe ER)
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!

You are in over your pay grade. This is too complex a subject for an answer in a post.  If there was a significant blow, go to an emergency room. See a physician.
