What can I do?

I seek help but have no health insurance. I stand at 5'10in. Short brown/black hair. I am 105 pounds. (underweight for no apparent reason) I frequently get sick and have little to no energy. constant head pressure- uncontrollable jolting-always out of breath-and I suffer depression. I feel like my body is twice it's age...and I just want to feel better again. I am desprate for help and answers. I have a very little drive do anything now...I just want to feel better. I want to get out and do things again without being drained or sick. My husband and I both suffer because I'm so tired and sick all the time that I can't work, so he is the only one providing for us.

Dear JilleenBaeza,

I would normally encourage you to obtain some Individual health insurance coverage, but I don't believe you would qualify due to your height & weight ratio.

If your husband is self employed or his employer doesn't offer an employer sponsored group health plan, then you need to contact Medicaid at 800-448-3927, to find out if you qualify for a publicly sponsored program. The bottom line is that you need to see a doctor & start a treatment program. Before securing some insurance coverage, should you find yourself in need of medications, visit www.NeedyMeds.com which is a non-profit with the mission of helping people who cannot afford medicine or healthcare costs. The information at NeedyMeds is available anonymously and free of charge.
